Local SEO
Local SEO, the type that small businesses use to show up in their local area when people to go to look for a type of service to. The type of work involved with local SEO is setting up a google my business and yelp page. You can also try to target specific terms unique to the region to show up for.
You can target by area too. For example, for providing SEO services, I targeted Wayne County SEO, and Oakland County SEO. I then break it into each city within the county as well. A few examples of this are: Northville MI SEO, Detroit MI SEO, & Madison Heights SEO
Long Tail SEO
Longtail SEO is the type of SEO that targets a specific term usually after keyword research. These are longer groups of terms often 3-5 terms. These make a longtail keyword phrase. It’s important not to just invent these phrases either. You should actually run them to get traffic estimates to see how many users google each of the terms you target each month.
Major Term Targeting SEO
Major Term Targeting SEO is where you go after major high traffic terms with a very high yield. These terms give the most traffic, but, are also extremely hard to get and to hold on to. It often takes months or years of work to grab terms like this. A few examples that I have been able to grab for a company that I work for include: Mold bases, ejector pins, gate cutters, Moog Servo valves.ect. This is one of the hardest types of SEO to do.
Industry Specific SEO
Industry specific SEO is where you target terms for a specific industry. For example, I could target Dental SEO, or Private Practice Medical SEO, Or Air Plane Sales SEO, Or Recreational Vehicle SEO. Each one of these would be where I’d target the terms in an industry and try to show up for specific words or phrases for that industry.
Ecommerce SEO
Ecommerce SEO is slightly different than industry specific SEO as there is an implication that purchases can be made from the website directly and not require a human to resolve the order. In many cases ecommerce sites can handle the billing, the sale, the taxes and the payment processing and in the case of buying software, the distribution. This site is actually an ecommerce site that uses Woo commerce to sell software and services. If you need help setting up an ecommerce site and trying to rank for various terms I’m the person to hire for this.
Video SEO
Video SEO exists to rank YouTube videos in search rankings on Google. YouTube videos have the advantage over normal searches because they can rank nearly instantly. This can allow real time feedback that can allow people to methodically rank for terms and keep making updates and edits until they hit the term they are targeting. This type of SEO is very good for people that do videos for a living.
